Mr. Shameera Nuwan Rathnayake Commenced duties with religions traditions at the auspicious time as the new Divisional Secretary of Thumpane on the 20th August 2024.
The Independence Day celebration was successfully organized at our office to coincide with the 76th Independence Day Celebration of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka.
A national flag was hoisted by W. A. K. Bandaranayaka, Assistant Divisional secretary and a short lecture on the independence day and the responsibility of the citizen for the progress of the country was conducted. Shramadana campaigns and tree planting programmes were also implemented.
Various programmes at Grama Niladhari divisional levels in the Thumpane division were organized to coincide with this independence day celebration.
