International Women's Day day was Celebrated at Our office by Organizing Special Programs on 8th of March 2022.
Child Protection & Womens Unit of Our Office Organized a Special Medical Camp for the Staff & Organized a House hold awarenes program on the Duty & the role of the women in a family in the Modern era.
Medical Camp was Organized with the Fullest Support and the Cooperation of the Medical Staff of the Divisional Hospital - Galagedara and the Awareness program was Conducted by Mr. Athula Siri Mahanama - Child Rights Protection officer (DS Galagedara) & Mrs Menike Nawarathna Police Officer (Galagedara Police Station)
An Official event was organized at Galagedara Divisional Secretariat to Celebrate the 74th National Day of the Democratict Social Republic of Sri Lanka.
This Ceremony was Presided by Assistant Divisional Secretary Mrs.Anupama Perusinge. The National Flag was officially hoisted by her & She Delivered a short speech on the Importance of Freedom following observation of 2 Minutes silence in rememberance of War heroes & Freedom Fighters.
Further a Very informatic speech was deliverd by Mr.Mahanama the Child rights officer. Tree Planting & a Shrama Dana event also was organized at the office Premises.
1st Divisional Development Coordinating Committee Meeting of year 2021 was held on 2nd of January at our office auditorium.
This event was presided by Prof.G.L Pieries the Minister of Education,Hon.Keheliya Rambukwella the Minister of Mass Media & Hon. MP Wasantha Yapa Bandara - President of Kandy District Coordinating Committee.
Local Government Members & Number of Public officers representing government organizations participated in this event.
1st office day of the new year 2022 was fallen on 3rd of January.
The day was officially started with National Flag hosting ceremony by our Divisional Secretary Mrs.SMC Gunarathna.and the public Service Declaration was read by the staff.
As usual there were some religious & cultural rituals to welcome the new official year 2022.
